I am fascinated by peoples jobs and their daily routines/lack thereof. Mine is definitely a lack thereof, this girl and routines are not besties. Routines suffocate me and make me feel like a robot. There are certainly things I do every single day, but never really in order.
Wake up, check my email and social media in bed. Stay in bed until 7:30ish, come downstairs. Fill up my liter water bottle and make breakfast. Usually I eat protein pancakes, toast or waffles. When I wasn't pregnant, I'd have eggs with spinach, avocado toast or a smoothie. These days, I need carbs in the morning. I'm a ravenous beast!
Then I'll see what's on the agenda for the day. Like today...I have a session at 11AM with my biz coach, Jessica Riverson. Next I'll travel up North for a 2 hour in person client session (1 in person session is included in private programs). Then I'll take a 5:30pm barre class and take my friend out to a birthday dinner. I'll make the hour+ drive back home to finish up the day, write session notes and see what's on the agenda for the next day.
Rewinding back to the present moment...
In the last hour or so, I've responded to emails, created an invoice, posted a few social media pics and decided to write a blog, (I'm procrastinating to shower). Once I shower, the day really begins and I'm not ready. I'm still basking in the glory of yesterday.
Yesterday, I had big plans to head to Seattle after I taught yoga at Tuladhara for a meeting, but that didn't end up happening and Tuesday's are normally not too busy. So after I taught, I ventured to Whole Foods to get my fave smoothie, C-Breeze. A smoothie that tastes like a caribbean dream! This smoothie has my heart and includes: pineapple, strawberries, coconut water, mint leaves, ginger, vegan protein powder and a splash of orange juice.
My husband met me and he took me around his old stomping grounds in Tacoma. A baseball field he played on in college and a trail walk he went on as a kid. We stopped at Starbucks where I could quench my thirst with an unsweetened passion fruit iced tea. GLORIOUS!
After our Starbucks stop, we drove to the Point Defiance Rose Garden where we walked through the insanely fairy tale land of roses and flowers and people admiring all the beauty. We watched people on their phones, hustling to the next Pokemon stops. It was weird.
THEN we went to the ZOO!!!!!! It was awesome!! And incredible!!! And kind of sad. If you've been to the zoo as an adult, you know what I mean.
We finished up with salads and pizza at Katie Downs, a waterfront favorite.
So that was yesterday, my kind of day off.
Today is packed and I'm excited to get back to work! So there you have it, a day or two in the life of a solo biz owner, health coach mamacita and all around gals gal!
