I feel like this workshop I created was effortless. You know why? Because every single thing I loved was included: yoga + dessert + sisterhood. I live for these moments. Moments when you look around the room, women are relaxed and ready to just enjoy the night, no pressure and pure comfort.
Ginger Saunders generously offered to teach a gentle restorative yoga class and you could tell by looking from face to face that everyone was relieved. We are bombarded with "GO HARD!" "SWEAT EVERY DAY!" "WORKOUT HARDCORE!"
To give yourself permission to relax....it's a luxury.
My home was filled with 11 women who flowed from yoga right into guilt free dessert. I chose 5 desserts and created a recipe dessert guide for all the women to take home.
Desserts included: chocolate covered strawberries, rice crispy treats, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and almond butter fudge.
"I can't believe these are all gluten and dairy free!" Exclaimed one of the attendee's.
"I'm a baker and have never used alternative flours or sugars!! Now that I've tasted these desserts, I'm going to try!!"
