I've gone on two retreats: one local to WA state + one in Tuscany.
One was a weekend long + the other one week.
What I learned on both of them was a lot about letting things happen + not focusing on cost, but on the value of an adventure.
In the past, I've heard how people talk about the expense of a retreat.
The local retreat I went on was $500
The international retreat I went on was a few thousand dollars.
The first retreat I offered was $499
The upcoming retreat in April is priced around $500 (depending on which sleeping arrangement you choose).
I am offering a retreat that includes: 3 yoga classes, 2 barre classes, a cooking class, lodging for 2 nights, food, wine, etc.
The average price for 2 nights in a hotel is more than $300. Just for 2 nights in a hotel. You choose what you want to do with the money you earn. No one forces you to do anything or go anywhere.
If you feel like you don't earn what you should, you are doing a disservice to yourself. If you feel like you are always looking for deals or the lowest cost on products, services, classes, etc. you can expect what you pay for.
I want to bring women on retreats who want more. Who want value + quality. Who aren't afraid to invest in themselves. Two years ago, I wanted the best deal. I searched for the low budget business coaches, until I took a hard look in the mirror and realized that I am WORTH spending money on. I am WORTH investing in myself.
Yes, you can find deals + penny pinch. But that kind of mentality will attract the penny pinchers and people who love to get things for free.
If you've been bullying someone into doing things at a fraction of the cost or squeezing deals wherever you can, stop.
Think about when you've bought workout pants for $20. What do you normally do? Wear 'em once + toss 'em because they are the worst. But what happens when you invest in yourself + spend $100 for the best spandex in town? I treat the $100 pair of pants like gold. I always know where they are - they are my fave pants. They do what I knew they would. They fit well. They make me feel good.
When I started looking at value versus price, my worth went up + I started attracting the clients I desired. The clients who are dedicated. The ones who truly want change. The clients who achieve success from my health coaching because they VALUE the information.
