When's the last time you smiled for no reason? Read an article + thought, "Wow, that was truly inspiring?"
The people you admire most - those are the ones who continue feeding their inspiration bank. I've talked to a few successful people this past week + found that they all listen to books on tape, inspirational videos and are listeners of Tony Robbins + Elizabeth Gilbert. Some read motivational books + success stories daily. The majority of successful people watch barely, if any, television and do not waste time on trivial matters.
They are celebrating life. They do not pause and wait for someone to approve of their decisions. They are doers, go getters, thinkers, outside the box ADD super stars!
Victories that come in small and large packages are celebrated. Things like making a first sale, selling a signature program or creating a webinar that turns into a money maker - all small victories make these kind of people buzz in their happy bubbles. They aren't wasting days at a job they hate.
I think my parents have got a kick out of watching me go from job to job and seeing how long I lasted. It was never more than 8 months at a job I couldn't stand, sometimes a week! Some people said to stick it out, "It looks good on a resume!" Well ya know what? When you create your own job, you don't care about the titles, years + bullet points. You do what you gotta go. You use your skills, talents, education + experience to develop your own company!
So how do you celebrate your life? Is it the small things? You've stopped killing yourself on the treadmill to lose the last 5 pounds? You've decided that a glass of wine is worth holding onto the weight. Or did you get a promotion + you deserved it? You put in the time + now the rewards are flowing like water towards your bank account.
Whatever you need to celebrate - find it. It is not worth staying stuck in a place you don't like or questioning yourself non-stop. Be a doer + be a dreamer. Who's to say you can't have it all?
