I so hear people when they tell me, "I've been eating this, exercising and nothing is happening!" The food + exercise is most def part of the equation. But it's not everything. Do you hold your weight in your belly? The place where majority of people hold stress, other people choose their shoulders and neck. If I could choose, it'd be neither.
Part of real change + growth comes from attitude and stress relief. NO JOKE! You've got to give yourself room to breathe and allow time to do it's magic. Awesome if you've been going to the gym for two weeks...how long before that didn't you go? People, (including myself) want instant gratification. When something doesn't work after 2 weeks, they give up. WHERE ARE THE RESULTS? WHEN IS IT GOING TO HAPPEN? I've been grinding on my health coaching biz seriously for 6 months or so. Before that I honestly doubted the fact that I could make it on my own.
My fiance reminds me that the seeds are planted, keep watering, letting the sun shine and soon enough the blooming will take place. If you've ever seen those success graphs where people think success is like this straight line is freakin' B.S. Success is the most jagged, criss-crossed line that goes up and down, stays still and darts in different directions! It's frustrating at times, but there are moments when a few flowers bloom and you can rest comfortably knowing you worked your ass off + the rewards are starting to show.
I equate success in business to weight loss. There are plateau's, days where you are an A+ student and days when you can barely do the minimum. BUT if you don't stop and you give a little bit more every day, in no time, you'll see how far you've come.
So if you're anything like me, a doubt monster, let's hold hands and know that with time, we can do this. Give it what you got + I'll do the same.
