How about retreats? Have you gone on one? Hosted one? Thought about leading one?
I've gone on two. The first one was to Tuscany, where I ate farm fresh meals, tip toed down to the yoga room in my jammies/lazy yoga wear and met people from around the world as we smiled and namaste'd together. I knew the retreat leaders from Seattle, met a hilarious couple and a few gals, one who became a lifelong friend.
The second one was an all girl fitness retreat, in Seabrook, WA. I knew no one. This retreat was focused on superfoods and salads. It was cool, but a lot of the snacks had nuts in them, which was not cool for me, because I am allergic. I felt hungry a lot. I wanted more time with the retreat leader. I felt like there was a separation, rather than a group hang kinda vibe.
My favorite retreat so far was of course, the retreat in Leavenworth THIS MAY. I had the assistance from my sister, who is the most organized human being on this planet. She held the title of Retreat Planner and boy did she do her thaaaaaang!! I had the honor of leading yoga/barre classes, a hike + an assortment of other girly activities. We wine tasted, hot tubbed, candlelight yoga'd and ate gourmet meals at the Sleeping Lady Resort.
In October, I'll be putting my nose to the books for retreats in 2016!!! CANNOT WAIT. We will have classes, yoga, wine, delicious chef-inspired + detox specialist created meals, smoothies, etc. JUST YOU WAIT!
