I get this question a lot. What do we do in the private sessions?
TONS!! When you are curious about health coaching sessions with me, I know you are interested about your health or a certain issue.
For example, I had a woman reach out to me about chronic hives. I had never heard of such a thing, so we scheduled multiple sessions. We dove deep into her health history, she sent me 3 days of her nutrition and we chopped that 'ish up. I saw a lot of soy in her diet and cut that out immediately. We talked about gluten, meat, dairy, eggs and had her do a modified elimination diet. After year of chronic hives, she listened to her customized meal + fitness plan and she had NONE. Doctors told her she would live with chronic hives for the rest of her life. I called B.S.
I went through my own 20 pound weight loss journey where I thought that eating huge salads, going to hot yoga and taking 3 mile walks every day was the key for weight loss. RING THE ALARM. That ain't the way sister.
I had to heal my guilt and shame from a past relationship, alter my idea of eating and off I went on the transformation that changed my life.
We gotta go deep on sesh 1. Be prepared to cry. It happens in almost all the first sessions with clients because it's all these stuck emotions finally being released. #trapqueen
Before I had paying clients, I took my Dad on as my first health coaching client. That was 3 years ago and today he sits 25-30 pounds lighter, off the majority of his diabetes meds and swears I saved his life....When your Dad says you saved his life, you clench your heart and hope you don't drop to the ground in a huge weeping clump.
I started Reiki training this weekend - energy healing. On Sunday night, I will be a Certified Reiki Practitioner Level 1 + 2, I plan to bring this, my yoga and barre training and my almost finished Women's Fitness Specialist Certification in all my programs for 2016.
