How many times have you started a diet only to gorge after 30 days of eating clean? Do you even know what eating clean means or why are you doing it? Did you find the idea on a friend's page and think, "She looks great! Maybe I'll try eating clean!" And then you head to the grocery store and you stay on the perimeters, get healthy groceries only to get home + realize you have no idea what to do with everything you just bought.
I've done that SOOOO many times!!! I go to the grocery store without a plan and get the regulars. Banana's, eggs, spinach, broccoli, limes, coconut oil, coconut water, blueberries, coconut milk, sweet potatoes, avocados + maybe some bacon/chorizo + head home. I make the same things..
Protein pancakes using 2 eggs + 1 ripe banana.
Classic breakfast using bacon/chorizo, eggs + spinach
Sweet potato fries using coconut oil, sweet potato, smoked paprika, pink salt + red chili pepper flakes.
Avocado with pink salt.
Roasted broccoli using broccoli, EVOO, salt and when it's done baking, I squeeze lime on top.
All of these recipes are divine, easy + yummy. BUT, there are days I don't want to eat them. Days I feel bored in the kitchen and those are the days I decide I'd rather go out to eat because I can't think of any other combos.
The Fall Program has TONS of Fall-Inspired recipes. They were created by a detox specialist, professional chef + myself. I have more than 30 gluten, dairy + nut free recipes to choose from, knowing that I will still maintain my fit body + can enjoy foods that are simple + easy to make.
There are a few recipes I can whip out in no time + a few I spend some time on, but none of them make me feel guilty + I know they are all good for my body. When you expand your knowledge + experience in the kitchen, you can teach others how to eat real food + isn't that the greatest joy of all!?
Start with small tweaks to your diet. Then those small tweaks become every day lifestyle changes whether you notice or not!
I remember the day I started going out to Mexican restaurants and decided that if I ate chips + salsa, I would order a small salad to balance out the good and the not so good.
Or the days where I chose not to work out, so I wouldn't eat as much. I didn't need as much fuel because I wasn't burning as many calories. If weight loss is what you want, no one knows the roller coaster train better than me. I lived on it until my mid-twenties. I lost 24 pounds 4 years ago + haven't gained any weight back. BALANCE. LOVING YOURSELF. FINDING WHAT WORKS FOR YOU. Those 3 things are huge parts of the equation.
