"So what are you doing tonight?"
Me - "Exactly what I am doing. Trying to take it easy. Do some laundry. Cook some food. Read. Hang out by myself. If Sex & the City or Bridesmaids happen to come on tonight I might watch it."
When you don't have a corporate or even structured job, every day feels like a Friday. Also, when you are a fitness instructor, it feels like happy hour in the morning, afternoon and evening. I get to smile + sweat with my sistas (and brothas) every day and that is my social hour. I love the fitness arena and the friendships I've made from conversations before or after class. The chats are anywhere from a minute to 15, depending on what's happening after class!
Hanging out by myself is easy. If you are an entrepreneur you must enjoy walking on the lone side, unless you go to networking events. But I hate those + can't do small talk. Life is short and if something happens, I don't want to be stuck introducing myself and what I do. I know a few other extroverted introverts like myself and smile as I think about them.
If you are by yourself tonight, tomorrow or any time, remember that we're all alone together.
